Commission Prices and Procedures

Procedures-

I work primarily from photographs. This avoids the inconvenience and expense associated with long posed sittings. I prefer to take my own photographs to get a better sense of color, personality and to achieve the correct lighting.  However, I will work from your photographs providing I have enough information to get an accurate rendering. (High quality photos are a must. The painting will only be as good as what   I can get in the photos – Photo Sessions can include up to 100 photographs to achieve the desired look.)

When we have decided on the image and size a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before the painting is started.  Once the painting is finished and you have approved the final painting - remaining payment will be due.

Oil paintings require a drying period before the protective finishing varnish can be applied. For this reason please allow between 3-4 months before the painting can be shipped or delivered.

Pet Portrait Pricing –All prices are unframed, if you wish to have the work framed       I can certainly help you. 

These prices are based on one subject with a non descript background.

Additional subject - 50% extra.
